Chief Executive Officer
DAVID S. ZACHRY, P.E., is the Chief Executive Officer of Zachry Corporation. He has worked for Zachry since 1986 and is a third generation Zachry in the company founded by his grandfather H. B. “Pat” Zachry in 1924.
His work experience at Zachry has been a progression of assignments in the highway, petrochemical, power, and pipeline industries. In 1996 he was named President of the Civil Group. In August 2004 he assumed the responsibilities of President and Chief Operating Officer of Zachry Construction Corporation.
In January 2008 he was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Zachry Corporation. In December 2011 he assumed responsibilities of Chief Executive Officer of Zachry Corporation. He also participates on the Board of Directors of many subsidiaries and affiliated companies. David is married and has three children.
President and COO
JEAN ABIASSI is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Zachry Construction Corporation. Jean is responsible for overseeing operations for all construction within the organization.
His duties include estimate review, assigning management teams to projects, interfacing with the project owner and overseeing the work of each of the project teams. Jean has over 30 years in the construction industry. He has extensive experience in the engineering and management of major highway and transportation projects throughout the United States.
A graduate of Texas Tech University, with both a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering, he is also a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas.
Jean is married and has three children.
Senior VP and CFO
WARREN A. STOKES, CPA is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Zachry Corporation. He is responsible for managing the accounting, tax, and finance and treasury functions for the company, as well as managing banking relationships, joint venture risk profiles and equipment contracts.
Prior to his recent promotion to Chief Financial Officer, Warren held the position of Vice President and Treasurer for Zachry. He previously worked for Ernst & Young, LLP in San Antonio, where he served a number of clients in a variety of industries before joining Zachry in 2006.
Warren graduated cum laude with his Master of Science in Accounting from Texas Tech University.
Warren serves as the project finance chair heading the capital/building campaign for the St. George Episcopal Church and School. He also serves as the Treasurer of the School Board.
VP and Controller
VIVIAN GARZA-STEELE is Vice President and Controller for Zachry Construction Corporation in San Antonio, TX.
Vivian has been employed at Zachry since 1980 and is responsible for the accounting operations of the company and its subsidiaries. She also oversees the administration and compliance of the company’s defined contribution and welfare plans.
Vivian received a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Vivian is a member of the San Antonio Chapter of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is also a member of the Construction Financial Managers Association (CFMA) and has served as President of the CFMA San Antonio Chapter.
VP and Human Resources
JASON WESTENSKOW is the Vice President of Human Resources of Zachry Corporation. In his role, Jason’s responsibilities include oversight for HR Team that provides talent management, training, employee relations, benefits programs, compensation, and the employee assistance program. Jason joined the company in September 2015. He is a graduate of Utah State University “Go Aggies” and received his MBA from Weber State University.
He is a 21-year human resources veteran who brings extensive experience to the position including over ten years with Frito-Lay / PepsiCo. Jason will also be focused on improving the company’s employee engagement level to further improve productivity and help make Zachry the best place to work. He is married with four daughters and one small male dog.
VP and General Counsel
CODY WEBB has been with Zachry Construction Corporation since October 2006, and currently serves as Vice President and General Counsel. Prior to joining Zachry, Cody spent 10 years in private practice, advising clients primarily in the areas of construction law, independent power projects, and corporate law. Cody graduated Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University School of Law.
VP and Treasurer
LETICIA MOND is the Vice President and Treasurer of Zachry Corporation. In her role, Leticia’s responsibilities include oversight of treasury management, tax planning to include federal, state, and local tax obligations, and management of budgets as well as managing relationships with our banks and construction sureties.
Leticia is a graduate of University of Texas San Antonio and is a Certified Public Accountant. She has been with the company for over 16 years. During that time, she has worked in a variety of roles to include, but not limited to, Director of Corporate Finance, working on special projects teams to create Business Model Assessments for existing Zachry companies, strategic planning manager, and financial accounting manager.
When she’s not working, she and her husband, Kevin are kept busy with their three children. She is also very involved in the community and has served on a number professional organization Boards in different capacities.
