Embassy Suites Landmark Hotel's Topping Out

September 1, 2017

Zachry Construction raised the final steel beam of the soon-to-be Embassy Suites Hilton San Antonio Landmark Hotel, part of the Hilton’s all-suites collection.

The eight-story, 203-suite hotel developed, owned, and managed by Zachry Hospitality and is set to open its doors in June 2018. This milestone is called “topping out” and is celebrated in the construction industry. Zachry Construction project team members, employees, contractors and other stakeholders gathered to celebrate this achievement.

“This symbolic ‘topping out’ gesture highlights our progress toward the construction finish line,” said Rene Garcia, Vice President of Development, Zachry Hospitality. “As we head into the final stages of construction, I am even more motivated to see our vision become a reality.”

Embassy Suites by Hilton San Antonio Landmark will open along the rapidly-growing IH-10 and Loop 1604 corridor at 5615 Landmark Parkway, near Valero Energy headquarters, The University of Texas at San Antonio, The Shops at La Cantera, The Rim, and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. “We’re excited to bring this fresh, new all-suites property to the San Antonio community,” said Robert Thrailkill, Vice President of Operations, Zachry Hospitality.“Recent development within this part of the City is tremendous, and we are eager to provide relaxed, upscale accommodations for both business and leisure travelers.”
