Overview

Haven for Hope is a 22-acre campus west of downtown San Antonio that provides residential facilities, social service support, and guidance from homelessness to housing in Bexar County. Zachry Construction Corporation demonstrated its expertise in a number of different disciplines with a local social service project. Haven for Hope, a new facility that offers a safe night’s rest and provides on-site education services, job training, day care, substance abuse treatment, medical care, identification recovery, case management and animal care services.

Zachry managed the renovation and expansion project that improved over half of the facility including the 61,000 square foot Transformational Center.

The Center received extensive renovations to over half of the building with an addition of a new 12,000 square foot of mezzanine to update the long-term living spaces and as well as provide support agency.

Additional renovations included the commercial kitchen and dining hall; which provides 3,000 plus meals-a-day, security offices with monitoring system control room and the medical, dental and vision care building.

New facilities include a childcare center constructed with a tilt-wall and pre-engineered metal building. Cast-in-place concrete buildings included, two new three-story dormitories built for single and family residential units and a new chapel.
