Overview
The project consists of construction of a new Border Patrol Station Checkpoint in Falfurrias, TX, while operational interruption of the existing checkpoint is not allowed. Scope of the project includes eight primary inspection lanes with covered canopy, 16 secondary inspection lanes with covered canopy, an Administration/Processing/Detention building, a secondary evidence storage building with loading dock, a vehicle lift area, a short-stay kennel building, 150-foot tall antenna tower, three-vehicle impound lot, GOVT parking spaces, a covered fueling system, along with new electric, water and fire protection utility services for the entire facility.
Completion of the new Checkpoint, Phase 1, was completed in April 2019. Phase 2, demolition of the original Checkpoint, was completed September 2019.
