FORT HOOD GEORGETOWN BRIDGE REPLACEMENT

Overview

Zachry Federal Construction Corporation was awarded a design-build project at Fort Hood with JSR Contractors for the United States Army Corps of Engineers to replace Georgetown Road Bridge at Cowhouse Creek. Design and construction of a new bridge structure includes approaching roadways, embankments, channel modification, establishment and maintenance of the storm water prevention pollution plan, signage, striping, traffic control and the removal of the existing low water crossing roadway and elliptical corrugated metal pipes. The project also includes demolition of an existing 6 span bridge consisting of concrete and steel beam spans and one truss span.
