Zachry Construction Corporation was awarded Phase 2 of the U.S. 281 project in San Antonio, Texas from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The $178.3 million project is a non-tolled 4.8-mile expansion from Stone Oak Parkway to the Comal County Line. The project expands this section from the current four lanes to a six lane expressway with frontage roads and two High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) lanes – one in each direction - growing to 10 lanes overall.
