US 75 COLLIN COUNTY

Overview

The US 75 Collin County project consisted of the construction of and the widening of 2.453 miles of four lanes to eight lane frontage road each direction including grading, base, pavement, structures, drainage, signs, signals, illumination and pavement markings.


Other project specifications raised the roadway elevation an average of 12 feet out of the flood plain, build 12 bridges, two MSE retaining walls, install 43,000 linear feet of storm drainage with seven cross culverts.  The project was completed with 287,000 square yards of continuous reinforce concrete paving and approximately 1.2 million cubic yards of embankment.


There were zero injuries on the U.S.-75 Collin County project (~ 37 months) which is outstanding for a project of this size and scope.
