USACE BORDER PATROL STATION/CHECKPOINT

Overview

The project consisted of constructing a new Border Patrol Station Checkpoint in Falfurrias, TX with continued operation of the existing one.  Scope of the project included eight primary inspection lanes with covered canopy, 16 secondary-inspection lanes with covered canopy, an Administration and Processing/Detention building, a secondary evidence storage building with loading dock, a vehicle lift area, a short-stay kennel building, 150-foot tall antenna tower, three-vehicle impound lot, GOVT parking spaces, a covered fueling system, along with new electric, water and fire protection utility services for the entire facility.


Completion of the new Checkpoint, Phase 1, was completed in April 2019.  Phase 2, demolition of the original Checkpoint, was completed September 2019.
