This project is part of the broader Keep 20‑30 Moving along I‑20 and I‑30 in Parker and Tarrant Counties. It enhances mobility and safety on I‑20 from FM 1187/FM 3325 to the I‑20/I‑30 split, and on I‑30 from I‑20 to Linkcrest Drive.
The project includes construction of new ramps along I‑20, adds auxiliary lanes to reduce congestion, and lowers the interstate mainlanes to increase vertical clearances at FM 1187 and Walsh Ranch Parkway. These improvements address recurring issues such as bottlenecks, short weaving distances, and inadequate bridge heights that currently cause delays and freight disruptions.
The interchanges will be upgraded, improving traffic flow between the interstates and surrounding city streets. The reconstruction of the frontage roads between FM 1187 and Walsh Ranch Parkway will provide a consistent route for local traffic and reduce spillover onto the mainlanes.
A continuous 10‑foot-wide shared‑use path is included to connect nearby city streets with the regional corridor, offering a safe and accessible route for pedestrians and cyclists while supporting higher‑speed bicycle travel between key destinations. Additional scope includes installation of new drainage systems, pipes, boxes, and related structures to support area development needs, as well as construction of MSE walls, cast‑in‑place retaining walls, electrical/ITS systems, flatwork, seeding, and pavement markings
